i miss my friends

I just wanna post something, but I don't know exactly what. All I know now is I miss my childhood friends.

Okay, I guess I'll just tell a little bit about my history. I don't care if you readers don't like it. Blog is an online diary right?? Which means I can do anything in my blog... Hahahaaa... That was so not important...

Where do I start? Oh, okay. Well, a long time ago I used to live in Australia. Not too long actually, I went there when I was 8 years old. That's where I met a lot of really nice friends. But the friends I remember the most aren't the australian ones, but the ones who come from the same country as me: INDONESIA.

Maybe I'll name a few of them. When I was in Australia, I used to be friends with Arin, Iin, Gita, Mita, Zahra, Ofa, Endy, the twins Rohman and Rohim and their brother Victor, Fandi, Della, Aini and goodness there's too many of you... I just wanna say sorry for those I've forgotten. I've become so forgetful lately. I'm growing old I guess... If any of you (mentioned or not) happen to open my blog and read this posting, please give a comment... I miss you guys so much...

But they're not the only ones I miss... There's one more person I miss terribly. She was the very first best friend I had. She isn't from Indonesia though, she's an aussie. I miss her very much. Her name's Melissa.

Okay, now I'll tell you why I miss my childhood friends all of a sudden. One day, when I opened my friendster account, something happened. I don't know how or why, but the website automatically searched for friends who went to the same primary school as me: JESMOND PUBLIC SCHOOL. I became a bit curious and looked at the list. I opened them one by one, hoping one or some of them really are the good friends I once new.

I found a friendster with the name rynn and had a look around. I did have a friend called Arin, but I wasn't sure if it was her friendster or not, because her photo wasn't her full face. When I scrolled down, I was shocked, surprised yet filled with joy. It turned out my name was in her friendster, as one of the people she wanted to meet!!! I didn't believe it at first, but when I saw that the names of my old friends was also categorized as the people she wanted to meet, I was 100% sure that she was one of my old friends, Arin.

I added her straight away and left a message on her testimonials. A few days later, I got a testimonial from her saying that she really is Arin. She also gave me Gita's friendster. Gita is also one of my old friends. Sadly, her friendster is really restricted so I couldn't have a look around. It doesn't matter. At least I've found her.

Another one of my old friends is Endy. I don't miss him too much though, because when I was still in grade 2 junior high school he came to Bandung and exchanged our mobile numbers. We've been keeping in contact ever since, so I don't really miss him. But still, it's different having friends we can only contact by phone or internet than meeting the real person. To tell the truth, I don't know what I'd do if one day I meet him in real person. It wouldn't feel like I was meeting the person I usually send messages from my mobile...

Anyway...

Well, now I don't open my friendster too much because I've found something better. FACEBOOK!!! Man, I love that site. After making an account and adding my schoolmates, I suddenly thought of finding my old friends. I was hoping they also have facebooks. I found Gita, but I couldn't find Arin. I guess she hasn't made one yet.

Then I had a brilliant idea. Why don't I try to look for Melissa's facebook? I wasn't sure if it would work, but it was worth a try. I typed in her name and waited anxiously for the website to load. And it actually worked!! I was really happy!!But happiness didn't last very long. It turned out there were more than 500 people with the name MELISSA ROBERTS!! I knew there was no hope of finding her. I guess I can only hope I can contact her someday...

For everyone who has read or haven't read this posting, I just wanna ask you one thing. I just wanna ask for your prayers so I can get in contact with Melissa...



I really hope one day she sees this posting...
